Milo Bubenchik, age 88, of Jackson Twp. passed away Friday August 3, 2012 at his residence. Milo was born January 22, 1924 in Pleasant City, OH to the late John & Mary (Gamery) Bubenchik and lived in Massillon most of his life. During WW II he served as paratrooper in Europe, where he earned a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. For 40 years he was employed by Republic Steel and retired in 1984. In addition to his parents, he was preceded death by 10 brothers and sisters. Milo is survived by his wife Sylvia (Podlipec) Bubenchik with whom he would have shared 65 years of marriage on August 5th. They have three children and spouses: Tim (Kathryn) Bubenchik of Columbus, Nancy Brannon of Massillon and Rich (Lori) Bubenchik of Norwich, there are seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Milo has a surviving sister, Dorothy Smith and a brother Paul Bubenchik. A Memorial Celebration of Milo's life will be 10:30 AM Wednesday at Christ Lutheran Church in Massillon. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Pastor Nancy Bacon will officiate. His final resting place will be Sunset Hills Memory Garden.
