Milly Ballash Piacente

Mildred “Milly” Ballash Piacente, 92, of Massillon, passed away on July 9, 2024 at Rose Lane Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Milly was born in Massillon, Ohio, on August 10, 1931 to the late George and Susannah (Chalupka) Ballash, who immigrated from Strba, Czechoslovakia.

She was a graduate of Washington High School and worked as a cashier at the former A & D Foodarama, Piggly Wiggly, and also Shuman Drug Store, a job she particularly enjoyed. She was known for her vibrant sense of humor.

Milly is survived by her daughter Sandy Piacente and partner Randi Adler of Florida, and many nieces and nephews including Renee Hahn of San Francisco, California; Eric Hahn of Los Angeles, California; and Bobbi Medico of San Diego, California.

In addition to her parents, Milly was preceded in death by her siblings Sue Large, Mary Jane Snyder, Ann Martelli, Tilly Hahn, and John Balas (Ballash).

A private burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery.
