Mildred "Tuffy" M. Grunder

Mildred "Tuffy" May Grunder, age 79, of Massillon, passed away April 4, 2022. "Tuffy" was born March 14, 1943 in Massillon to Michael and Daisy (Petrovich) Kolich. She was employed with the Edwards Food Warehouse for more than 10 years retiring in 1986. ''Tuffy" was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church . She loved dancing with her aunts, going to car shows , NASCAR Racing and traveling to Florida with her husband John. Her happiness came from spending time with her family, especially being Baba to her favorite grandchildren. She was very proud of her Serbian Faith and Heritage. In addition to her parents, "Tuffy" was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, John U. Grunder, son, John M. Grunder and her sister, Mary Ann Clemens. She is survived by her daughter, Joni Giles, son, Michael (Dina)Grunder, grandchildren, Michael, Kylee, Anna and Johnny, sisters-in-law, Barb Grunder and Elizabeth Grunder, and many nieces , nephews and cousins. The family will receive guests at the Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon on Thursday April 7, 2022 from 6pm -8pm with a Pomen Service at 7:45pm and on Friday, April 8, 2022 at St. George's Serbian Orthodox Church from 10:00am -11:00am with Funeral Liturgy at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or St. George's Serbian Orthodox Church in "Tuffy"'s memory.
