Mildred "Millie" Bednar, 81, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2014 following an extended illness. She was born on August 26, 1932 in Massillon to the late Michael and Susan (Chovan) Listiak. Millie was an Avon rep. for over thirty-seven years and was member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Greater Beneficial Union, a social member of American Legion Post 221, South East Hill Gang, card club and was an avid bowler. Millie enjoyed going to her grandchildren's sporting and school events. She is survived by her children Robin (Scott) Shoemaker, Gail (Jeff) Lombardi and Melanie (Charlie) Kilgore ; ten grandchildren Christina (Chris) Alt, Charles (Meredeth) Kleve, Ory Shoemaker, Amber(Curt) Schisler, Steven (Lana) Schroeder, Jeffrey Lombardi, Jacy Lombardi, Megan (Justin) Brumbaugh, Emily Matthews and Erica Matthews; six great-grandchildren; sisters Janet(Butch) Reiter and Sandy (Chuck)Sheets; sister and brother-in-laws Betty Hattery, Evelyn Kulick, Richard Bednar, Glenn Tissot, Nancy (Dave) Miller, Shirley Bednar and Linda Smer; many nieces, nephews and cousins; good friends Lillian and Doris. She was also preceded in death by her husband Andrew Bednar. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Friday, January 17, 2013 from 6-8PM. Funeral services will be held in the Paquelet Funeral Home on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 10:00AM , Rev. Edd Matako, Officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
