Mildred Zimbello, 95 of Canal Fulton, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 surrounded by her daughters. Mildred was born in Massillon on April 14, 1920 the daughter of John and Caroline (Schrader) Jacobs. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1938 graduate of Washington High School. She graduated from Kent State University. Millie retired from Northwest Schools where she had taught at Clinton Elementary. During WWII she worked at Cleveland Weather Bureau. Millie enjoyed crafts and traveling with her husband, Eugene. She was a 50 plus year member of the American Legion Post #221 and Central Presbyterian Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Eugene J. Zimbello of 60 years, in 2014 and her sister Marilyn Wright. She is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Zimbello and Carol (Gary Shankle) Zimbello both of Canal Fulton; her sister Hermine Schwendimen of Canal Fulton; her cousins Vicki (Mike) Goodson and Bruce (Lorraine) Schrader; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Millie's life will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 7 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
