Mildred Mary Colucy, 87, of Navarre passed away Wednesday April 7, 2010 at Brewster Parke Convalescent Center. She was born July 1, 1922 in Brewster, OH the daughter of the late Joseph and Marija (Virant) Samsa. Mildred was a head cook at Fairless Local Schools retiring from Navarre Elementary. She had also been employed as a cook at St. Clement’s School. She was a member of St. Clement’s Catholic Church where she had been a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Mildred was an active member of the Navarre V.F.W. Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bingo, reading, and traveling. Surviving are her children Jeffrey Colucy of Perry Twp., Mary Ann Fowler of Navarre, and Carter (Vicki) Colucy of Brewster; brother Tony (Mildred) Samsa of Massillon; sister Anna Radich of Brewster; grandchildren Jeffrey II, Elizabeth, Michael Colucy, Mark, Michael Fowler, Christine, Kara, Todd, Laura, and Christopher; 18 great-grandchildren. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Rafael Colucy in 1994, brothers Joseph and Peter Samsa, and a sister Josephine Davis. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 8 P.M. at Paquelet Funeral Home 73 Canal St. E, Navarre, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at St. Clement’s Catholic Church with Father Edward Beneleit officiating. Interment will follow in St. Clement’s Church Cemetery.
