Mike Bogovich Jr.

Mike Bogovich Jr., age 93 of Massillon, passed away Friday May 28, 2010. Mike was born August 9, 1916 in Massillon to the late Mike & Anna (Radocaj) Bogovich and was a 1934 graduate of Washington High School. He was a 43 year employee of Tyson Roller Bearing Company and retired in 1979. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Mike was a definite people person, enjoyed playing euchre, baking and relating any past stories. His grandsons benefited in many stories about Massillon and the family history. He looked forward to reading the Croatian newspaper and meeting his pals for their ‘breakfast meetings’. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Sophie (1982); two sisters, Mildred Cvetnich, Helen Spehar; two brothers, Joseph and Steve Bogovich. He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Susan Doran and Michele (Richard) Forrer; three grandsons, Brian, Kevin and David (Becky) Forrer; two sisters, Magdalene ‘Mary’ Tarle and Catherine ‘Katie’ Rohrer; brother and sister-in- law, George ‘Mojo’ & Katie Bogovich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Fr. Edward Gretchko will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
