Michelle L. Motz-Pettis

Our beloved Michelle Lynn Motz- Pettis, age 54 of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly on October 12, 2023. She was born on November 8, 1968 to Ruth (Carmichael) Motz and the late Robert W. Motz.

If you had the pleasure to know Michelle, you’d know how beautiful her spirit really was. She had a way of making all those around her laugh with her silly songs and jokes. Michelle’s smile could light up a room. As director of nursing, many would say she was the epitome of a care giver. In her 30 years of practice, she touched many of lives.

However, her greatest role was that of mother. Nothing brought her more joy than playing and cuddling with her grand babies.

If she wasn’t supporting one of her daughters’ hobbies, she was attending Chris Tomlin concerts with her “Seester” Cindy. Michelle will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving daughter, mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and Christ follower.

She will be deeply missed by her husband Kenneth Pettis; loving daughters, Britani, Holly, Lauren and their father Todd Patterson; her grandchildren Israel, Autumn, Bryce, Willow and Nori; her Mother Ruth (Motz) Ayala; her sister Cindy (Rick) Bishop; her brother Denny (Dorothy) Motz; and a host of step children, nieces, nephews, family and close friends.

A going home celebration for Michelle will be held on Sunday October 22, 2023 at Canton Calvary Church of the Nazarene, 1200 Smith Ave SW

Canton, OH. Visitation will be from 2:00pm to 3:00pm with a service following immediately after, officiated by Pastor Michael Adkins.
