Michele R. Griggy

Michele R. (Basso) Griggy, age 44 of Perry Twp., passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at Aultman Hospital following a courageous four and a half year battle with breast cancer. She was born January 29, 1964 in Canton to David & Sandra (Redinger) Basso Sr. and lived all of her life in Perry Twp. Michele was a 1982 graduate of Perry High School. She was employed in the office of Drs. Dan & Earl Blumer Family Practice of Canton, OH. Michele will be remembered for her selflessness, caring and warm smile. She was an inspiration to everyone she came in contact with. Michele is survived by her husband of nine years, John R. Griggy; four children, Brandon Wile, Kelsey Wile, Logan Griggy and Peyton Griggy; her parents, David & Sandi Basso Sr.; brother and sister in law, David & Kelly Basso Jr.. Her family also includes those who sent cards, made phone calls, helped with and attended the recent benefit in her honor last month. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Saturday at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Final resting place will be at Calvary Cemetery.
