Michael T. Rossiter

Michael T. Rossiter, 74, of Jackson Township, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 9, 2024. Michael was born on October 3, 1949 in Massillon, Ohio, the son of the late Thomas and Inge (Hauhsen) Rossiter.

Mike was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1967 graduate of Tuslaw High School. He worked for the Goodyear Tire Company in Akron, where he was a machine repairman and retired after 44 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, and fishing and was generally an overall outdoorsman. He was a member of North Lawrence Fish and Game Club and previously volunteered as a Fireman / Paramedic for the North Lawrence Fire Department. He actively attended both Faith United Methodist in North Lawrence and St. George Eastern Orthodox Church in North Canton with his wife. He was a very loving and caring man, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand.

He is survived by his loving wife, Draga 'Dorothy' Rossiter, with whom he shared 33 years of his life; sons, Brian (Melanie) Rossiter, and Brett Rossiter; grandchild, Whitney Rossiter; brother, Marvin (Jeanne) Rossiter; 2 step-daughters, Sandy (Dave) Christman, Luba (Eric) Cramer; niece, Danielle (Jeremy) Smith; and a loving grandpa to all their children.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Marica Sekulic.

The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 10 - 11 am with a graveside service immediately following at Newman Creek Cemetery.
