Michael S. Moore

Michael S. Moore age 58 of Tuscarawas Twp. passed away December 21, 2008 at Affinity Medical Center. Mike was born June 11, 1950 in Canton to Paul & Helen (Payne) Moore and was raised in Massillon. Most of his life was spent in Tuslaw Twp. where he was very active in the sports programs. He coached the Tuslaw Youth Football Team and help with the varsity team where he was known as ‘tagger’. Mike was a Tuslaw sideliner and won the opportunity to coach the final game of regular season. He was a long time employee of Republic Engineered Steel and retired in 2006. In addition to the sideliners he belonged to the Moose #441 and the Concourse Club. His father Paul Moore passed away in 1994. He will be missed by his wife of 29 years, Shirley (Starr) Moore, his son Bryan M. Moore both of the residence, his mother Helen Wetzel of Massillon, a sister Paula (Kevin) Gurney of Alliance, a brother Richard (Suzanne) Moore of Canton, and the Tuslaw Football Team. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon, Fr. Edward Gretchko will officiate. Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
