Michael S. Burgardt

Michael S. Burgardt, 49, passed away following an extended illness. He was born in Akron on September 27, 1968 to the late Eugene Burgardt and Hildegard (Paitz) Burgardt of Massillon Mike was a man who never met a stranger; he would go out of his way to help others. He had a strong love for his family and enjoyed sports, music and movies. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Annemarie (Hess) Burgardt, whom he married on July 27, 2006; daughter, Jacqueline Burgardt; step-children, Leanne (Paul) Lively, Kelly (Todd Sweeney) Rich and Hayley (Shadi Smiley) Crum; grandson, Noah Lively; brother, George (Kimberly) Burgardt; mother-in-law LaRue Hess; furry buddy, Riley; and several nieces and cousins. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Jack Hess. Friends and family may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 9am-11am, with a funeral service to be held at 11am, Fr. Edward Gretchko, officiating.
