Michael Lee Miller

Michael L. Miller, 64, of Jackson Township, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, April 06, 2017 with his wife by his side. He was born October 26, 1952 in Akron, Ohio to Lee and Jeanette (Howard) Miller. Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married Dawn (Bevere) Baker on July 23, 2006. They shared 10 loving years together. Michael retired from his position, as head mechanic, after 17 years of service with the Jackson Local Schools Transportation Department. One of his many passions was working on cars and being a handy man for his family and friends. He was also a member of First Friends Church in Canton. Michael’s most enjoyable aspect of life was being a husband and father. He loved to spend time at home with his family, especially with his son, Isaac and his dogs, Rosie, Ginger and new addition, Sophie. Michael also had a great sense of humor, loved cooking and singing around the house. Those memories will be missed to all that knew him. He is survived by his wife, the love of his life, Dawn; their children, Kayla and Isaac Miller; children, Stacey(Carl) Miller, Tracey (Keith) Owens and Michael JR (Serena) Miller. from a previous marriage; mother, Jeanette Miller; siblings, Denny (Beth) Miller, Mark Miller, Amy (Jim) Quirke and Diane (Jim) Stallard; Grandchildren, Tyme, CJ, Jacob and Trinity; mother-in-law, Rosemarie Bevere; brothers-in-law, Matthew (Cindy) Bevere, Allan (Carol) Bevere, Robert Bevere and many nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his father Lee and brother, Jeff Miller. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 5-7 pm at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. A graveside service will be held in the chapel at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 1:00 pm with Allan Bevere and Matthew Bevere officiating. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Brar and his staff, the staff at Affinity Medical Center and Dr. Jessica Flavo Lang for their continued care of Michael during this time and over the years.
