Michael James Chandler

Michael James Chandler, age 34, of Plain Twp., passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 24, 2013. Michael was born on May 17, 1979 in Canton, the son of Joseph Chandler and Deborah (McMillen) Chandler. Michael graduated from Perry High School in 1998 where he was a four years starter in the wrestling program and he also was involved in the North Akron Youth Wrestling Program. Michael always put 'family' first in his life. He was devoted to his Church of Jesus Christ LDS church family where he helped serve as an Elder. Michael had a love for animals, especially his dog, Emmitt. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Edgar and Lydia McMillen, and Brad and Juanita Chandler; and his cousin, Kenneth Wayne Golden. Along with his parents, he leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Joseph Alan (Megan) Chandler, Jr.; his aunts and uncles, Carol (James) Chilson, Robert (Diane) McMillen, Marsha (Jerry) Goudie, Wayne (Lisa) McMillen, James (Sandy) McMillen, and Michelle Swigart; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Michael's Life will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ LDS: 735 Easthill Street SE, N. Canton, OH 44720. Bishop Scott Hunter will be Officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in Michael's memory.
