Michael G. Howell

Michael G. Howell, 74, passed away at home, following a brief illness on May 25, 2018. He was born in Charleston, West Virginia on April 4, 1944. Michael retired from The City Of Massillon Street Department and also worked for many years as a part time Bartender at Herms Club. He was a member of Massillon Eagles 190 and The Loyal Order of Moose, Gahanna Lodge 2463. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and spending time with his dogs and his family. He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Stauffer) Howell, whom he married on April 30, 1986; children, Michael (Stephanie) Howell, Jr., Linda (Mark) Hanley. James (Elizabeth) Crofut, Julie (Tracy) Drew. Jill (Eric) Jones and Joyce (Steve) Barber; thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandson and a brother, Bob (Mona) Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank M. Howell and Lillian M. (Bob) Ashley Smith. Friends and family may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 11:30 am-1:00 pm, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00pm in the funeral home.
