Michael Alan Jamison

Michael Alan Jamison, 53 of Jackson Township, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017. Michael was born in Massillon on June 30, 1963 the son of Larry and Sue (Cantleberry) Jamison. He was a 1982 graduate of Jackson High School. Mike was formerly employed at Menards in Massillon. He loved shooting pool, especially with the Whitey's Tavern League. He also bowled on an amateur bowling tour with his father. Mike was also an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons. He was a member of Amherst Community Church. Michael was a grateful recipient in 2010 of a donated kidney and in 2012 he received a donated pancreas. He always wished he would have been able to thank those families personally. He is survived by his parents, Larry and Sue Jamison; his sons, Alex and Mikey the loves of his life; brother, Todd (June) Jamison; sister, Kristie (Joe) Palaski; niece, Kelly Jamison; and nephew, Jeffrey Jamison. A Celebration of Michael's life will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Welty Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either: Comprehensive Transplant Center Patient Emergency Fund: #312346 at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center 1480 W.
