Merle Swartzentruber

On Thursday, January 27, 2022, Merle Swartzentruber, husband and father of 4 children, went home to be with the Lord at the age of 78. Merle was born in Millersburg on March 12, 1943. He married Sara Ann Miller, and they raised 3 sons, Jeff, Todd, and Brent, and a daughter Brenda. Merle later married Judy Yoder. Merle loved the Lord and trusted Him to provide in all areas of life, and he trusted the Lord to do the same for his loved ones. Merle would frequently withdraw to a quiet place to pray for his family and friends. Thank you for demonstrating the discipline of prayer. May you rest in the arms of Jesus until we see you again. Merle was preceded in death by his father Albert Swartzentruber, mother, Fannie Swartzentruber, sister Marcella Kline, brother Jim Swartzentruber, and nephew Travis Swartzentruber. He is survived by his wife Judy, and his four children, Jeff, Todd, Brenda (Kruit), and Brent, his stepchildren, Victoria (Marlin), Trent (Weaver), and Vanessa (Weaver), his brother Paul, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. There will not be a funeral service open to the public at this time, but there may be a celebration of life service to come.
