Melvin L. Robbins, 82 passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 following an extended illness. He was born in Bolivar on July 20, 1933 to the late John and Ruth (Wright) Robbins. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Heinz in 1995. Melvin was a member of Canal Fulton Baptist Church. He was known for his sense of humor and wit, love of horses and his gentle and kind spirit. He was a friend to all and a stranger to none. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Runshaw) Robbins, whom he married on June 21, 2011; daughter, Joy (Ernest) Knight of Massillon; son, Terry Talkington of Carrolton; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his brother, Gerald Robbins of Canton. He was also preceded in death by his three sons; two brothers; and two sisters. The Family will hold a Memorial Celebration at Canal Fulton Baptist Church, 11230 Lafayette RD NW, Canal Fulton, OH 44614 on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 2:00PM , Pastor Dorsey Davisson, officiating.
