Melanie Renee Nickels

Melanie Renee Nickels, 46, of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2018. She was born on April 18, 1971 in Canton to Toni (Brinkley) Lint. She married Scott Nickels on August 16, 2003 and they shared 14 loving years together. Melanie’s greatest passion in life was her family. She loved spending time with her husband Scott and riding their motorcycle. She especially enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren. Melanie had an outgoing personality; she was very sociable and never knew a stranger. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her husband Scott; children Samantha Justice, Matthew (Rebecca) McDougal, Brent Nickels, Logan Nickels and Katelynn Nickels; mother Toni Brinkley; siblings Michael (Angie) Gill, Tonya Shelton and Kristy Fisher; grandchildren Paitynn and Eithan McDougal; step-father Michael Lint Melanie was preceded in death by her grandfather Merle Brinkley, father Larry Fisher, and brother Keith Gill. A celebration of Melanie’s life will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 1-4 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Funeral service will take place at 4 p.m.
