Maysel V. Cooper, age 74 of North Lawrence, passed away Friday at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born on October 30, 1933 in Hendricks, WV to the late Homer and Grace Carr. Maysel lived in the area most of her adult life. She was a 1950 graduate of Parsons High School where she grew up in West Virginia. Maysel worked at Ekco Products for 12 years prior to raising her family. She was a cake decorator, expert seamstress and enjoyed shopping and attending craft shows. Maysel loved life, her family and her friends. She was a member of 38th Street Church of Christ in Canton. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by 3 brothers. She is survived by her husband, Louis (Fritz) Cooper whom she married on June 30, 1956; her daughter, Sonya M. (Earl) Ash of Jackson Twp.; her grandchildren, Ethan and Kenleigh Ash; her sister, Rosalee (Dorsey) Davisson of Massillon. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 4:00PM at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. There will be no calling hours. Her son-in-law, Earl Ash, will be Officiating. Inurnment will follow at East Greenville Cemetery at a later date.
