May Wears

May Wears, age 93 of Canal Fulton, died on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Rose Lane Health Care Center. She was born in Glasgow, Scotland on March 26, 1920 and was the daughter of the late Angus and Mary (Madden) Leitch. The family moved to America when she was seven. May was a member of the Akron Freewill Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband Ermon Wears, her stepmother Opal Leitch, her brothers, John Leitch, Gus Leitch, Henry Leitch, Bob Leitch and son-in-law, Harold Bragg. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Loretta Bragg, Sharon and Larry Swartz and Gary and Debbie Wears. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and her sister Beverly Babb. In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place and her cremains will be interred beside her mother at Greenlawn Cemetery in Barberton, Ohio.
