Mavis Ziegelhofer

Mavis Ziegelhofer, age 81 of Massillon, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011 in Mansfield, Ohio. She was born on September 28, 1930 in Autreyville, GA the daughter of the late Jordan Brooks and Imogene (Eure) McGhee. Mavis lived here most of her life and worked at Massillon City Hospital as a nurse for 47 years. She was a loyal and faithful member of Faith Lutheran Church where she was part of the quilting group and served on several committees. She was a tour guide at Spring Hill Farm, and was a member of Massillon Women's Club. Mavis also held Massillon Tigers season tickets since 1951. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edward Ziegelhofer in 1993, and her step-father James Gay. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Mike (Pat) Ziegelhofer of Lexington, OH and Cathy (Ted) Friedman of Colonia, NJ; her grandchildren, Mike (Camille) Ziegelhofer, Ben Ziegelhofer, David Ziegelhofer, Alison (Zac) Banks, Meredith Friedman, Rachael Friedman and Matthew Friedman; her great-grandchildren, Emerie and Myah and her sister and brother-in-law Mary Sue (Dean) Tillman of Moultrie, GA. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 3:30 P.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-3:30 P.M.
