Maurice D. Young

Maurice Young, 34, of Canton, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022. Maurice was born on October 23, 1988 in Canton, the son of Bruce West and Roberial Brown. He loved helping his mother and grandmother. Maurice enjoyed gambling, and his laugh was infectious. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce West, sister, Marcedes West, aunt, Yvonne Young, grandmother, Margaret West, and grandfather, Robert Young Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Roberial Brown; brothers and sisters, Demetrius (Melissa McKibben) Young, Jovan Young, Nieshia West, Michael Young, and Adrian West; grandmother, Barbara Young; aunts and uncles, Robert (Gizelle) Young Jr., Eric Young, Juliet Young, Tracy West and Virgil West; and a host of other family members.

A Celebration of Maurice's life will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 2 pm the Paquelet Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 - 2 pm prior to the service.
