Mary V. Wilson

Mary V. (Getz) Wilson, age 77 of North Lawrence, entered the gates of heaven on Saturday, September 13, 2014. She was born on January 22, 1937 in Massillon and was the daughter of the late Boyd E. and Mary V. (Smith) Getz. She was a 1954 graduate of Washington High School. Their 60th class reunion was held on the day of her death. She was a volunteer with Community Hospice for several years. Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Wilson, Sr. in 2007, two grandchildren and her brother John Getz and sister Janet Getz. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Candy L. and Howard Davlin, Leroy and Debbie Wilson, Jr. and Leonard and Rebecca Wilson, 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and her brothers, Boyd "Bud" (Brenda) Getz and Dennis E. Getz. A service to commemorate her life will take place on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. and on Thursday one hour before the service. The family would like to thank Dr. Guy Blaser and Crossroads Hospice and the staff at Affinity Medical Center for the outstanding care given to Mary.
