Mary R. Fichter

Mary R. Fichter, age 90 of Massillon, passed away on Sunday evening. She was born on April 27, 1927 and was the daughter of Sebastian and Hilda (Bessler) Hamel. Mary was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Fichter and her son David Fichter. She is survived by her sons, John (Michele) Fichter and Larry (Pamela) Fichter, her daughter, Lynn Geiser, her grandchildren, Troy Fichter, Angela (Kelly) Broderson, Mark (Heather) Fichter, Cory Fichter and Beau Geiser, her great grandchildren, Theo Geiser, Joe and Jake Broderson and Alyssa Fichter, her sister Nancy Tonske and her brother Jim (Eleanor) Hamel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 am at St. Barbara Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
