Mary Lucille Nash

Mary Lucille Nash was born in Moorhead, Mississippi to the late Walter and Ada Campbell on September 26, 1917. Mary was the fifth child of twelve born to the Campbell family. She leaves to cherish memories her sister Leanna Tomlin of Chicago Illinois. Mary attended Moorhead Elementary School and graduated from Delta Institute High School in Moorhead, Mississippi. Completing her education at Mississippi Vocational College and Jackson State College. Her life was a life of service to God and the ways of Holiness. In 1954, Mary accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was filled with the Holy Ghost. She became a life long member of The True Church House of Prayer to All Nations, Inc. under the leadership of the late Chief Apostle Bishop J.E. Williams. She served several roles in the church that included being the State Mother of Illinois and an appointment to the International Council of Women’s Board. She was anointed to care for God’s people and she did so until she was physically unable. Mary held positions in the Chicagoland Area working for the Chicago Board of Education, Time and Life Magazine and nursing homes in throughout the city as a Patient Advocate. She also was an educator in Mississippi. Mary transitioned to her heavenly home on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. She leaves behind six of her ten children to carry on her legacy, Emma J. Cunningham, Mary H. (Remus) Burchette, Harvey H. Thompson all of Illinois and Betty A. (Jesse) Robinson, Albert J. Thompson and Lena Mae C. Thompson all of Ohio. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and godchildren to carry the torch. A private home going service will be held for the family.
