Mary Louise Van Dyke, age 74 of Massillon, died Tuesday morning at Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center. She was born on August 28, 1931 in Martinsburg, PA and was the daughter of the late John J. & Anna Grace (Zimmerman) Stern. She had worked at Spring Hill Gardens and had been a volunteer with Goodwill Industries. She was a member of Amherst Community Brethren in Christ Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother John W. Stern, 2 infant brothers and a granddaughter. She is survived by her husband, Wilbur Van Dyke whom she married on March 3, 1951, her children and their spouses, Wilbur Lee & Sue Van Dyke of Bellville, OH, Dale Van Dyke of Dalton, OH, Nancy Ann & David Strait of Boiling Springs, PA, Sandra & Chris Alten of Alta Loma, CA, Wanda & Steve Baublitz of York, PA, Marshell & Tim Gupton of Knoxville, TN, Melinda & Harold Jaimes of Broadview Heights, OH and Rosemary & Jon Dillon of Ooltewah, TN, 25 grandchildren, one great grandchild and her brother Jimmy Stern of Cincinnati, OH. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 11:00 at Amherst Community Brethren in Christ Church with Rev. Calvin Hamblin officiating. Burial will follow in Newmans Creek Cemetery.
