Mary Louise Stauffer

Mary Louise Stauffer, 104, (often known as GiGi or Bubbles by her family and friends ) , passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Otterbein Skilled Nursing Home in Columbus, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born on April 24, 1912 in Cleveland, Ohio to Paul Eugene and Olive Jeanette (Rearick) Casterline. She grew up in Brewster, Ohio. She married LaVerne (Skeets) Stauffer on November 24, 1938. They moved to Massillon, Ohio where she lived until 2003 when she moved to Gahanna, Ohio to be close to her daughter and grandchildren. Skeets passed away on January 31. 1974. Mary enjoyed sewing, decorating for parties and holidays and especially playing slot machines or a good game of Euchre Mary will be deeply missed by her daughter, Sharon (Michael) Howell, grandchildren, Jim (Liz) Crofut, Julie (Tracy) Drew, Jill (Eric) Jones, Joyce (Steve) Barber, Carol Jean (Robert) Ricksecer; great-grandchildren, Nicole and Bryce Drew, Kayla and Tyler Jones, Luke, Grace and Jack Barber. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Skeets, her parents and two sisters Margaret (Frank) Babb and Betty (Jiggs) Tennil. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Eagles Auxiliary 190 will give tribute prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
