Mary Lou (Meeting) Jenkins, 89 of Massillon, passed away on May 5, 2017. She was born on December 11, 1927 in Massillon and was the daughter of the late John and Bernice (Princehorn) Meeting. Mary Lou was a 1947 graduate of Washington High School and in 1952 she married William Jenkins, Jr. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, had been a volunteer at the K. of C. and St. Joseph’s Night at the Races, bingo and soup kitchens. She worked at Doerflinger’s Bakery for 28 years. Along with her parents and husband Bill, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William and Russell (Jack) Meeting and her sister Maxine Stonestreet. She is survived by her daughters, Shelley (Donald) Manley and Lori (Chris Putnam) Jenkins, 5 grandchildren, Molly (Jason) Flory, Shannon (Brent) Canfield, Adrianne (Chad) Flickinger, Ryan (Jennifer) Manley and Travis (Stacy) Rossiter and 9 great grandchildren, Isabella, Kaden and Maddison Canfield, Alexander, Samantha and Hannah Flickinger, Aiden Manley and Harper and Hudsyn Black. There are no calling hours or services. The family would like to thank Fr. Raymond Paul of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Dr. Jennifer Tarr and her staff at MedCorp. Those who wish, may make a memorial in her name to the Massillon Boys and Girls Club.
