Mary Lois Clendening

Mary Lois Clendening, 94 of Cincinnati, formerly of Massillon, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. Mary was born in Newville, Alabama on January 2, 1924 the daughter of William and Tara Lee (Lowery) Henderson. She worked as a Nurses’ Aide at the Massillon State Hospital for over 30 years. Mary enjoyed bowling and dancing. She was a long time member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Most of all she loved spending time with her family including her great grandchildren and her great - great grandson. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Clendening in 2000; her daughter, Renee Clendening - Ward; sister, Lennie Gravely; and brother, Ozzie Henderson. She is survived by her sons, William and Eric Clendening; grandchildren, Dea Crouchette, Saraan Ward, Erin Ward and Eric Clendening Jr.; 6 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson. A Home Going Celebration will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
