Mary Joy Palmer, 53, passed away on March 18, 2014, following an extended illness. She was born in Canton on August 16, 1960. Mary was a graduate of East Canton High School, Class of 1978 and a veteran of the United States Army. She worked as a cashier at the Fast & Friendly Convenience Store. Mary was known as a loving and caring mother. She loved to spend her time with her grandchildren and family. She loved to grow roses and flowers in her back yard and in recent years started to fish with her husband Bruce. She is survived by her husband Bruce D. Palmer, whom she married on August 19, 1979;their children Christopher(Erin) Palmer of Massillon, Rachel (Eric) Czarnecki of Valparaiso, IN, Jeanette Palmer and Jessica (Scott) McCleary both of Massillon; six grandchildren Steven, Kaylynn, Madison, Claire, Elyssa and Quintin; father Roland Davis of East Canton; siblings Roland (Angie) Davis, Jr. of Massillon, Kathy (Mike) Kostka, Janet (Jim) Warnock, Tina (Brian) Shearer, Darlene Rhinehart, Gail (Mike) Swan and Theresa Clark all of East Canton. She was preceded in death by her mother Mary (Summers) Davis. Friends and family may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 1:00PM-3:00PM with a funeral service to follow at 3:00PM, conducted by Kevin O'Brien.
