Mary Jean “ Grandma-great” Heisser, 91, passed away following an extended illness on January 3, 2021. She was born on January 18, 1929 in Navarre to Earl F. and Kathryn (Bauer) Airhart. Mary Jean worked many years for Republic Steel and then went on to be the Assistant Manager at First Federal. She was a member of the Twins Club of Massillon, and St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was known for her happy disposition, always singing and smiling. Mary Jean loved to shop, play euchre, traveling to Cancun, Florida and Branson. She also loved to spend summer days at Lake Mohawk. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children, Cindy Pascu and Jeffrey Heisser; grandchildren, Kara (Steve) Abbott, Tricia (Christopher) Finan and Krista (Erik) Klein; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Moulos. Mary Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roland W. Heisser; son, Greg Heisser; and two brothers, Don and Tommy Airhart. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10:30 am Wednesday, January 6, 2021, Fr. Edward Gretchko officiating. Facebook Live Streaming Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Continuing with COVID-19 precautions, all attending will be asked to follow proper social distancing protocol and masks are required.
