Mary Jane Lucansky

Mary Jane Lucansky, age 87 of Jackson Twp. passed away Monday at Aultman Compassionate Care. Mary Jane was born August 19, 1925 in Alliance to the late Earl & Dessie (Nee) Unkefer. She lived most of her life in Massillon. She was employed at the former Ben Franklin Store at Amherst Shopping Center. Mary Jane was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 221 Auxiliary and the Southeast Hill Gang. She will be remembered as a people person, one who enjoyed meeting the world. Her private time was doing crafts and knitting. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers: Lucille Koken, Charles & Harry Unkefer. Mary Jane is survived by her husband of 53 years, Andrew T. Lucansky, her daughter Marlene Kaser, 2 grandchildren, Rachelle & Travis and 5 great grandchildren, Brandon, Logan, Adrianna, Kadence & Nevaeh. In addition she leaves a brother Roy Unkefer and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 11 AM Thursday at Christ Lutheran Church, Rev. Nancy Bacon and Rev. Dennis Engler will officiate. Her final resting place will be Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the church.
