Mary Jane Herrick

Mary Jane Herrick, 81 of Massillon, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 in Affinity Medical Center, following an extended illness. She was born on October 10, 1931 in Massillon to the late Oliver D. & Mary L. (Renie) Bashford. She was a graduate of Washington High School, Class of 1949 and Massillon School of Nursing, Class of 1952. She worked in area hospitals as a Registered Nurse and as a Nursing Coordinator at Massillon Hospital for an area physician. Mary Jane was a member of Central Presbyterian Church and the Massillon School of Nursing Alumni Association. She is survived by her two sons, Dean A. Herrick and Dale E. Herrick both of Massillon, two grandchildren, Amanda and Samantha Herrick, and a sister, Lee Correll of Menomonie, WI., a niece, Jane L. Warner, and nephews, Scott Correll and J. Stuart Deal. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce A. Herrick in 1988 and her sister, Norma Eberhardt in 2010. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 15, 2012 at 1:30 PM at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
