Mary "Eileen" Fischer

Mary "Eileen" Fischer, 72, formerly of Canton, passed away on June 8, 2022 after an extended illness. She was born on February 17, 1950 to H. Chester and Catherine (Kennedy) Koc in Youngstown, OH. In 1968 she graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School. As a young adult she graduated from Ohio Dominican university in 1972. She formerly worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation, specializing in Mass Transit. She also was involved in multiple political campaigns. During the summer of 1987, she married Francis "Frank" Fischer. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, vacationing, and entertaining family and friends. She loved her dogs, and in her free time she enjoyed golfing, baking, reading, needle point and was a big Ohio State fan. Mary "Eileen" is survived by her loving step-children, Victoria Fischer, Mark (Allison) Fischer, Doug Fischer, David (Jennifer) Fischer and Valerie (Ben) Youell; cousins, Tom Nally, Rosemary (Ted) Stechschulte, Dan (Mary) Nally, JT (Maureen) Gorman, Katherine (Lee) Stoneburner, and Patrick (Meredith) Gorman, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, H. Chester Koc, mother, Catherine Koc, and her husband, Francis "Frank" Fischer. Visitation will be held Monday, June 13, 2022, 10:00 am at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, Ohio. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am with Father Raymond Paul, officiating.
