Mary Ann Santarelli, 88, of Perry Township, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. Mary Ann was born on May 12, 1936 in Canton, Ohio the daughter of the late Louis Schuler and Anna (Hoffner) Schuler.
Mary was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1954 graduate of Lincoln High School. She retired from the Timken Company following 35 years of service as a secretary. Mary was actively involved in tap dancing up until her early 80's. She was a proud member of the 'Granny Apples' dance group. Mary was a beautiful woman, she was kind, compassionate, caring, generous, giving and stubborn as a mule. Mary was a great cook as well. She loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and the Canton Lincoln Alumni Association.
She is survived by her loving husband, Nick Santarelli, whom she shared 65 1/2 years of marriage; children, Dan Santarelli, and Sharon (Rick) Rembielak; grandchildren, Nicki Rembielak, Megan (Hecky) Crespo, Matthew Rembielak, and Chelsea (Jerry Gaydash) Santarelli; great grandchildren, Jerry Gaydash, Sylas Gaydash, Jace Gaydash, and Quinn Crespo; siblings, Louis Schuler, Barbara Cugino, Tom (Linda) Schuler, Ron (Claudia) Schuler, and Stephanie Maxwell; special cousin, Judy Matako; and her furry companions, Kip and Boots.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 9:30 - 10:30 am at the Paquelet Funeral Home: 1100 Wales Road NE, Massillon, OH 44646. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wilderness Center - www.wildernesscenter.org. Messages of comfort and support may be sent to the family at www.paquelet.com.
