Marvis J. (Shankle) Lewis, age 78 of Navarre, passed away on May 25, 2022 in Hospice care at the Brewster Parke Nursing Center following a long battle with dementia. She was surrounded by family and loved ones. Marvis was born in Luciusboro, Indiana Co., PA on May 26, 1943, to the late Ord S. & Thelma C. (Fulton) Shankle. Marvis attended Massillon Washington High School. She retired from Tuslaw High School and loved spending time with her family & tending to her flower beds. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her newborn son, William David Lewis Jr., sister, Dorothy Nolan, three brothers, Glenn, Clyde and Harold “Skinny” Shankle and former husband William D. Lewis. Marvis is survived by her three daughters, Corina Feijoo (Tony), Cerrie DeBos (Rick), Celina Kohler (Rich) and son, William D. “Bo” Lewis II (Debbie); five grandchildren, Kyle DeBos (Mary Beth), Kendall Lewis, Kolton Kohler, Kailee Kohler, and Danny Lewis; four great-grandchildren, Chip DeBos, Sutton DeBos, Miller DeBos, and Annabella Lewis; two sisters, Ethel Lawson (Clarence) of Massillon, and Donna Harper (Jack) of Republic, OH. Cremation will be handled by Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Brookfield Cemetery alongside her parents. A celebration of life will take place at a future date.
