Marvin L. Guiler

Marvin L. Guiler, 74 of Perry Township, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family. Marvin was born on November 7, 1942 in Sarahsville, Ohio the son of the late Howard and Clara Mae (Davis) Guiler. Marvin worked for SARTA as a bus driver and retired after 11 years of service. He previously worked as a tree trimmer for multiple companies. Marvin enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the F.O.E. #2370 in Perry Township. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 1 brother. He is survived by his wife, Lynn (Johnson) Guiler of whom he shared 32 years of marriage; his children, Sheryle Guiler, Cassie (Ryan Allen) Guiler, Matthew Hall and Marissa (Shaun) Riley; grandchildren, Tyler and Emilee Riley; 2 sisters; 1 brother; mother and father-in-law, Pat and Ann Paperella; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Marvin’s life will be held on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 1 P.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Aultman Hospice: 2821 Woodlawn Avenue N.W., Canton, OH 44708.
