Martha Kay Turvey

Martha Kay Turvey, 81, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016, following an extended illness. She was born in Mechanicstown on October 31, 1934 to the late Edwin J. and Dorothy Louise (Blazy) Hawk. Martha was a member of the Algonquin Spinners & Weavers Guild. She is survived by her husband, James W. Turvey, whom she married on June 17, 1955; and their children, Susan C. Turvey, Jane Ann (Jeff Carnes) Turvey and Dana J. (Barb Tarbet) Turvey. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Sue Powell and a brother, Edwin B. Hawk A private memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. The family wishes to thank Arbors at Minerva and Crossroads Hospice for their wonderful care.
