Marlys S. Braid

Marlys S. Braid, age 82 of Parkersburg, West Virginia, formally of Massillon, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on February 06, 2022. She was born in Finleyville, Pennsylvania on January 22, 1940, to the late Hershel and Helen (Miller) Hood. She was a 1959 graduate of Massillon Washington High School. She was a homemaker and took care of her family. Marlys enjoyed sitting on her back deck, watching birds and doing puzzles. She was a woman of strong faith and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will always be remembered as a loving mother. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Starcher of Massillon, Ohio and son Brian (Debbie) Donze of Vienna, West Virginia; two grandchildren Jeremiah Ray (Kayla) Donze and Faith Victoria Donze; great-granddaughter Arabella; brothers Jack Hood and Terry Hood and her sister Gloria Elasky and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Hershel Hood and sister, Floss Gearig. A Service will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 1p.m. Pastor Brian Donze will be officiating and the service will be live streamed.
