Marlin Jay Troyer

Marlin Jay Troyer, 63, of Massillon, passed away on January 7, 2025 at home. 

He was born on August 11, 1961 to the late David and Anna (Miller) Troyer in Dover, OH. 

Marlin was employed by Wayne Dalton Door. He was the Chairman of the Troyer Fan Club for his nieces and nephews sporting events. He was dedicated to his family and was a loyal friend. He enjoyed gathering with friends and family. A football fanatic, Marlin faithfully followed Massillon Tiger Football, Ohio State, and the Cleveland Browns. He also was a huge NASCAR fan of Kevin Harvick and Dale Earnhardt. Marlin also enjoyed spending his time fishing.  

Marlin is survived by his loving children Lauren (Shon) Earnhart, Christa Troyer, and Justin Troyer; two grandchildren Aiden and Kaidynce; siblings Orris (Betty) Troyer, Richard (Kristin) Troyer, Leon (JoAnna) Troyer, Cindy (Merle) Yoder, and Sandra (Marvin) Miller; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Nelson Troyer. 

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 12, 2025, 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, Ohio.
