Marlene T. Watterson

Marlene T. Watterson, age 77 passed away on July 19, 2016. She was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on September 24, 1938 to the late Frederick and Stella Mae (Peacemaker) Thomas. She married Robert E Watterson on August 22, 1964 and they shared 52 years together until her passing. Marlene was a Bookkeeper at Shady Lawn Nursing Home for 30 years until her retirement. She was member of East Greenville United Methodist Church, where she served as Treasurer of the church. She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter , playing cards, watching game shows, baking and traveling with her family. She will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her husband Robert; her children Robert E. Watterson Jr. and Christine A. Curie; her granddaughter Taylor M. Nicholas; her twin brother Marvin "Jack" (Hettie) Thomas and brothers Keith and Sonny Thomas as well as a host of family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister Beverly Wakulchik. A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 11a.m at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. The family will receive friends from 6-8p.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2016 and 1 hour prior to the service. Donations in Marlene's memory can be made to the American Cancer Society. www.paquelet.com
