Mark A. Boron, 82, of Navarre, passed away on June 15, 2022, at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born in the family farmhouse in Massillon, on February 23, 1940, to the late Andrew and Lillian (Kline) Boron. Mark was a 1958 graduate of Central Catholic, US Army Veteran and furthered his education at the University of Detroit where he graduated in 1964 with a BS degree in electrical engineering. He had a successful career with AEP where he worked in the communication department and retired after 36 years of service. Mark was also a devoted, longtime parishioner of Holy Family Parish and served as a lector and Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus #5582 and served as the financial secretary for 36 years. Mark’s dedication to his faith and family made him a loving and caring husband to his wife Joan for 57 wonderful years, as well as an exceptionally proud father and grandfather. Mark enjoyed travelling and spending time with his family, making wonderful memories together. Mark will be deeply missed by his wife Joan (Wellman) Boron; children Julie (Samuel) Dean, John Boron, Captain Molly Boron, Karen (Rick) Hite and Diane (Nate) Ward; 12 grandchildren; brothers Leo (Pat) and Don (Marge); sisters Helen (Walt) Shearrow, Judy (Jerry) Frisch; and special family friend Heidi Fleming. In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his brothers Peter (Marilyn), Linus (Marge), sister Rita (Al) Mazzaferri and infant daughter Mary Anne. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 20th from 9am to 11am at Holy Family Parish in Navarre. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. and followed by burial in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mark’s honor, to Holy Family Parish, 216 Wooster St NE, Navarre, OH 44662.
