Mark A. Lightfoot

Mark A. Lightfoot, 64, of Massillon, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021. Mark was born on June 29, 1957, in Massillon, the son of John and LouAnn (Rose) Lightfoot. He was a lifelong resident of Massillon and a 1975 graduate of Washington High School where he played on the football team. Mark retired from the City of Massillon where he worked for 25 years. He was the Street Superintendent and then worked in the Wastewater Treatment Division as a “turd herder”. Mark was a huge Massillon Tigers fan. He enjoyed pontoon boating, hunting, fishing, partying, and spending time with family and friends. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Lynda M. (Dressel) Lightfoot, with whom he shared 4 ½ years of marriage and 15 years together; children, Mark A. (Missy) Lightfoot, Jr., Eric (Nikki) Lightfoot, Marie (Brad) Shaffer, Donald (fiancée, Audrey Rowe) Fisher, and Danielle (fiancé’, Cody Lautzenheiser) Fisher; parents, John and LouAnn Lightfoot; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Rusty (Kim) Lightfoot and David (Cheryl) Lightfoot; and sister, Kris Knotts. A celebration of Mark’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 7 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. before the service.
