Marjorie M. McInnes, age 89 of Dellroy, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Altercare of Navarre. She was born on July 9, 1919 in Tuscarawas Co., the daughter of the late Daniel and Jennie Sherrett. Marjorie lived in Dellroy the majority of her life. She worked for Ecko for many years before retiring as an accountant. She was actively involved with the Counsel of Aging of Carrollton and was a member of Massillon Baptist Temple for over 50 years. Marjorie will be remembered as ‘Grandma’ by all. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William McInnes in 1971 and her sisters, Emily Mosley and Isabell Knox, one step-daughter, Betty Heavilin and one step-son, William McInnes Jr. and foster daughter and husband, Virginia (Orval) Croston. She is survived by her brother, Dale (Betty) Sherrett of Ruskin, FL; granddaughters, Diana (Gary) Mencer of Canton, Cathy (Gary) Pattillo of Apopka, FL and Cindy Heavilin of Massillon; grandsons, Robert (Fran) Heavilin of Massillon, Ken Croston of Aberdeen, NC and Gary (Cindy) Croston of Canton; 9 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 1:00P.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service. Her pastor, Rev. Cecil Thayer will officiate. Interment will follow at Newman Cemetery. Messages of sympathy and support may be sent to the family at www.paquelet.com.
