Marjorie L. Goldsworthy Showers

Marjorie Louise (Brunt) Goldsworthy Showers Margie has gone to be with her LORD. She passed away on January 15, 2018 after an extended illness at Hanover Health Care Facility. She was born on September 7, 1926, to the late Ellery and Marjorie Brunt in Toledo, Ohio. She graduated from DeVilbiss High School. Margie worked for Dr. Author James in Toledo before moving to Canton. Margie worked for the late Dr. Henry Clapper in Canton for many years. She also worked part time at Aultman Hospital and the Women’s Club in Massillon. In 1973 at the age of 47 she graduated from the Practical Nurse Program, Canton City Schools. Margie was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Brunt, her husband Jack Goldsworthy, and her 2nd husband Harold Showers. Margie and Harold enjoyed many winters in Bradenton FL. She enjoyed playing the organ. She also loved to play Euchre and taught herself to play Bridge late in life. She is survived by two sons and their spouses, Jack Goldsworthy (Terry Porter) (Cuyahoga Falls OH) and Doug Goldsworthy (Pam Edgar) (Hendersonville NC); grandchildren Damon (Catherine) Goldsworthy, Jack (Melody) Goldsworthy, Kara (James) Winter, Dawn (Don) West and six great grandchildren. Family and friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 12:30PM-1: 30PM with a funeral service to be held at 1:30PM, Rev.
