Marjorie D. Haughton

Marjorie D. Haughton, age 85 of Perry Township, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011. Marjorie was born on February 15, 1926 in Washington, PA the daughter of the late Walter and Ruby (Thom) Day. Marjorie was a homemaker and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She will always be remembered for being a very loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Stitz, and her sisters Marian Yoder and Doris Day. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 62 years, Willis Haughton, whom she married on May 1, 1948; her daughter, Joyce (Mike) Swanson of North Canton; her son-in-law, Dale Stitz of Perry Twp.; her grandchildren, Amy (Jon) Doerrer, Jeff and Mark Stitz, Ryan, Scott and Craig Swanson. A Celebration of Marjorie’s Life will be held on Monday, April 25, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Paquelet and Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon. Rev. Wayne Scott will be officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may gather at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her name to Trinity United Methodist Church, 3757 Lincoln Way East, Massillon 44646.
