Marion F. "Max" Adamczyk, 88 of Canton, passed away peacefully at home on October 29, 2021 after an extended struggle with Alzheimer's disease. He was born on May 23, 1933 in New Castle Pennsylvania to the late John and Rose (Babski) Adamczyk. Max Graduated from New Castle High School, and Slippery Rock State College. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He married his wife Ida (Spizzo) Adamczyk in 1960. They eventually settled in Green Township in Summit County Ohio. Together they raised 3 children. Max worked in the aerospace and computer industries, becoming an accomplished salesman. He retired from Hewlett Packard. Max was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, especially in Quebec Canada with many of his family and good friends, who relied on him to "find the fish." He also loved gardening, earning the rank of Master Gardener. Max was a loving husband, a good father, and faithful friend. He was of the generation in which toughness was not only a virtue but a necessity, and he carried that cross for his descendants. He is survived by his children Paul (Lori) Adamczyk, Jeanmarie (Jerry) Hagedorn, and Karen (Dan) Beavers. Grandchildren Sarah, Maxwell, and Jacob Adamczyk, John and Katie Hagedorn, and Haley, Andrea, and Lainey Beavers. Brother Julian Adamczyk, sisters Irene Ryczaj and Jane Gawdyda, and a host of other realtions, nephews, and nieces. In addition to his parents, Max was preceded in death by his wife Ida, brothers Theodore and John Adamczyk, Sisters Bernice Witkowski, Helen Duda, Josephine Pivovar, and Florence Rotuno. Paul and Lori would like to thank the many staff members at Brookdale of Canton, whose extra efforts made his final years much more pleasant. A memorial service will be held on November 18th at 6pm at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon with calling hours beginning at 5 p.m. Inurnment will be private and take place at a later date in Pennsylvania.
