Marilyn Tsilimparis

Marilyn Ann Tsilimparis, 83, of Perry-Massillon, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. Marilyn was born on May 1, 1939 in Staten Island, NY the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy (Vincent) Shiro. She married our Dad George Tsilimparis on May 9, 1965 in New York City. They were married for 41 before his passing in 2006. Marilyn was a Associate Director of Financial Crime Risk for Standard Chartered Bank. She retired in 2014 after more than 30 years of service. Marilyn received her MBA in 1989. She enjoyed soft rock music, watching comedies, and was an avid CNN news watcher. She also loved cooking shows, and Amazon shopping. Marilyn's favorite candy was Werther's Original caramel. Anyone who knew Marilyn also knows how much she loved coffee, cinnamon rolls, ginger ale, and cookies, but no chocolate. In her early years she was an outstanding painter. Family was most important, especially her grandchildren. She lived the last 8 years of her life in Ohio with her daughter, family, and cats. Peter and Ethan came twice a year to visit her in Ohio. Everyone who met Marilyn was some how touched by her.

Along with her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death her brother, Joseph Shiro.

She is survived by her children, Peter (Caline) Tsilimparis, and Katherine (Greg) Goehring; grandchildren, Hunter Goehring, Alex Goehring, Ethan Tsilimparis, Luke Goehring, and Paris Goehring; niece, Chloe Svolakos; and nephews John and Adonis Tsilimparis.

A Celebration of Marilyn's life will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023 at 6 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-6 p.m. before the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Stark County Humane Society: www.starkhumane.org.
