Marilyn Trumpour Maier

Marilyn Trumpour Maier died peacefully Friday, January 10, 2014, in Massillon, Ohio after 84 glorious years of life. She was born February 6, 1930 in Mount Clemens, Michigan. In 1949 she met her husband to be Richard Maier and they built life together. She assisted in his legal practice, supported him while a State of Ohio Legislator and family man. She was an avid gardener, sailor, and traveler. Most of all, she loved and was beloved by her husband and family. Marilyn is survived by her husband with whom she shared 61 years of marriage, Richard Franklin Maier of Massillon; her daughter Janice Maier, son Richard Maier, Jr. and his wife, Donna Anne, and son Donald Maier and his wife Susan; five grandchildren Virginia Balough Skaer and her husband Matthew, Elizabeth Maier Balough, Samuel Maier, Meredith Maier, and Madelyn Maier; and three great –grandchildren, Connor, Caroline, and Hannah Skaer. A Family Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 18 at Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Her final resting place will be at the Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery.
